Dydd Santes Dwynwen

In a few weeks time, on February 14th, it is St. Valentine’s day. However on Thursday 25 January, did you know that it is Welsh Valentine’s day? Dwynwen is the Welsh patron saint of lovers, which makes her the Welsh equivalent of St. Valentine. If you live in Wales or are Welsh you probably celebrate in January, or 14 February or why not both?!!!

I love hearts and romance and I also like making sewing projects featuring hanging hearts and decorations. I also do love fabric featuring hearts and have quite a stash!

My January make is a re-visit to my popular 1950’s style retro apron. This time the apron features a bright and vibrant pink and purple hearts fabric. The apron background is a red fabric with tiny white spots. Ideal for St. Valentine’s Day!

So if you fancy sending a gift for your cariad or just fancy treating yourself, then take a look at my Etsy shop for inspiration.

Dydd Santes Dwynwen hapus!
