Sewing Handbags

Lately I have been busy with a new project. Making handbags! I have some lovely Cath Kidston fabric and also some Orla Kiely material. These are really upholstery fabrics, so ideal for making bags as they are a medium weight fabric, giving the bag that much needed structure. The handbags are a small tote bag, with grab handles. Ideal for packing up your belongings, taking a packed lunch or simply using as a book bag. There are various fabric options to choose from, ranging from spots to florals. The bags are all fully lined and washable.

The Orla Kiely bags feature the original stem fabric and also come in a variety of colours, from teal blue to dandelion yellow. These particular handbags are very striking and identifiable. A lovely addition!

It is really nice to make something new! These new handbag designs are fun to make, extremely practicable and are hard wearing. Whether used in the home for storing crafts or out and about, they are sure to look lovely and attract attention.
