I have always loved cats. I grew up in a house with lots of cat “things” in it, although no cat! ( I had bad asthma as a child). Pictures of cats, cat ornaments, cushions, you name it. Whenever we would see a cat in the road, it would shy away from so much unwanted attention! However, one day a school friend said that her cat had had kittens and would anyone like to have one? I begged my mum and eventually she gave in and we brought home Clive the ginger kitten. (Named after Clive in Neighbours, of course!). Since then I have never been without a cat.
I must say I do have fun choosing fabrics to make products for my Etsy shop and being creative. However I thought the other day that I haven’t made any new cat themed products for absolutely ages. This will soon be remedied. I am looking to make a new range of make up/cosmetic bags featuring lots of lovely cat fabric. Maybe even a patchwork cushion or too.
My range of cat themed products includes a black cat memoboard, a grocery bag holder, several sunglasses cases and a pocket tissue holder, which is proving to be extremely popular.
I have some new fabric this week courtesy of Cottage Patchwork, featuring a vibrant hot pink background with pale yellow/gold little cats. I can’t wait to start working with this cute fabric.
