Over the last few weeks I have been updating my collection of make up/cosmetic bags that I sell on Etsy. I found some fun and quirky fabrics that I thought would look great and stand out in the crowd. I have a collection of make up bags featuring Cath Kidston, Frida Kahlo and Liberty of London fabrics. These handmade bags are quilted and lined with co=ordinating zips and are washable too.
Two new additions to the range include cows and llamas! The llama bag features llamas dressed with Mexican style adornments. The background fabric is a pale pink. The bag features a matching pale pink zip.
The other new addition to the range feature an eye-catching fabric of black and white cows on a bright turquoise background. Again this bag is fully lined and quilted and comes with a co-ordinating pale blue zip.
Next on my list to make will be a range of cat themed make jup bags. Watch this space….

I have also been busy and having fun with patchwork. I don’t really have much time for patchwork but when I do, I really enjoy it. I love the creativity and playing with various patterns and fabrics and seeing what works. For this delightful coastal bag, I was inspired by a picture of a beach bag that I saw in a magazine. I loved it so much, I decided to make my own beach bag or tote bag of my own. The bag consists of 9 patchwork panels on the front of the bag, all inspired by my love of the sea. The fabrics feature coastal icons and scenes and have a red, blue and white vintage feel about them. Lobster patterned fabric is used as a lining and a mid navy print with tiny stars completes the bag handles.

If there are any other fabrics that you would like as a make up bag, then please let me know. Don’t forget that I also accept custom orders and can change fabrics and patterns to suit you. Just click on my Etsy shop for more details.
Many thanks for looking. x
