Back to school

Well, Autumn has arrived, the nights are getting darker and the children are back to school. One of the things I loved about going back to school was buying new stationery. I used to love choosing a new pencil case at the start of every year plus matching pens and pencils. New pristine stationery was heaven!

I make a range of A4 document wallets, from Orla Kiely to Cath Kidston and cats to dogs. The wallets are all lined and reinforced with sturdy interfacing. They can be used for storing documents, knitting patterns and one customer even used them for storing underwear! As these wallets are all handmade to order, I can use a fabric of your choice or increase the size.

My most recent document wallet is made from a quirky fabric by Tula, from their Tabby Road range, featuring cat food tins on a pink background. I love this fabric and the pink design has only just been recently released. I ran out of the pale turquoise last year!

I do also love Cath Kidston fabric and have accumulated quite a stash over the past few years. One of my favourite designs is the cowboy print. Looks great with a red ribbon too!

Another favourite print, which is very difficult to get hold of nowadays is the London jubilee print Featuring iconic London buildings, such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, this fabric has a modern vintage feel and looks great.

As well as being an avid cat lover, I also love hens. I have 6 rescue chickens who provide me with the best delicious tasting eggs. To celebrate my love of hens, I found this fantastic fabric featuring multi coloured hens on a pale cream background. A real must for chicken lovers and keepers out there!

If there are any other fabrics that you would like as a document wallet, then please let me know. Don’t forget that I also accept custom orders and can change fabrics, sizes and patterns to suit you. Just click on my Etsy shop for more details.

Many thanks for looking. x
