Welcome to this festive edition of Lizzyshomemade! I don’t really tend to make many Christmas things really as I’m not very Christmassy! However I do love a retro Christmas fabric. I have to say that my favourite Christmas make is this wonderful 1950’s style retro apron. It features ladies dressed in 1950’s style dresses carrying Christmas presents with the odd Christmas tree dotted around!
I also love these vintage retro Cath Kidston and Liberty prints which I made into attractive hearts to decorate your home. There are 2 different Cath Kidston fabrics to choose from. The first features Christmas reindeer and Father Christmas. The second is a homage to retro Christmas baubles of the 1970’s, which I grew up with! The Liberty of London print is a lovely traditional fabric with Christmas trees on a festive red background.

I have also enjoyed making these Christmas santa sacks. They come in festive fabrics, including a Peter Rabbit print for the little ones. All made to order with different sizes available. They are great for holding small presents and can be used time and time again. Much better than throwing away giftwrap!
The first of 2 new makes over the last couple of weeks is this vintage style needlecase. Made from an iconic William Morris fabric, this needlebook would make a lovely present for the crafter in your life. This small handmade needle book is ideal for holding thread, needles, pins etc. It has a William Morris lovely green floral cover and the inside fabric consists of vintage style green gingham print. There are four pale green felt pages for your pins. Great when travelling or just on the sofa at night in front of the TV.
Next up is the Liberty fabric bunny rabbit toy. Made from a pretty rose Liberty of London fabric, this toy bunny is a lovely present for children or just for yourself! This lovely bunny has been cut out by hand, sewn by machine and stuffed with a polyester stuffing and then finished by hand.
I do love making bunting and my house is testament to this, with bunting decorating lots of walls and surfaces. There are a few choices of Christmas style bunting available, ranging from scandi themed to good old fashioned Santa Claus. My particular favourite however has to be the Tilda angels fabric, featuring the heads and wings of pretty angels.

I love making aprons and have made 2 Christmas aprons to order. The first is the cover apron on this post featuring a 1950’s print. The second apron has a slightly more traditional theme based on the famous 12 days of Christmas song, with fabric featuring the days and the festive picture that goes with it.
Don’t forget that these items are available from my Etsy shop and are all handmade to order. If you would like a specific design or fabric then please let me know via Etsy conversations or send me a message!
Many thanks for looking.
