Welcome to Lizzyshomemade and to the glorious month of June. I love the month of June, sunny days but not too hot or humid of those in July and August. I’ve been busy in the garden, tending to growing veggies and planting out tomatoes and cucumbers. The chickens are laying lots of lovely eggs now and after dinner I go out into the garden and dead head the roses. The smell is wonderful! I have found some time to sew though and have added one or two new retro aprons to my collection and well as some rather lovely fabric bookmarks.

To celebrate the month of June, what better than to enjoy some strawberries. This lovely fabric features strawberries on a pale blue background, teemed with an iconic blue gingham print. My other new addition is a pink apron, featuring pink hearts (they remind me of jammie dodgers!). With a background fabric of pale pink tiny spots, this retro style apron looks very pretty.

Also new to my Etsy shop is a pretty floral make up bag. I love the fabric for this bag, featuring a delightful botanical flower print, this cosmetic bag is quilted, padded and comes with a matching pale pink zip.

Something new I have been trying out has been these handmade fabric bookmarks. I love Cath Kidston fabric and prints and decided that I would have a go at making some lovely bookmarks with my fabric remnants. These are the results. Choose from dinosaurs and beefeaters to ditsy and provence rose.

Aside from Cath Kidston fabric bookmarks, I have extended my range to quirky fun animals! Choose from flamingos, chickens, cats, dogs and garden birds. All bookmarks are padded with pretty contrasting ribbon at one end.
Finally we have some bookmarks in an original Orla Kiely stem fabric. Available on my Ebay shop only, choose from yellow, blue, red and silver.
Please remember all these items and more are available from my Etsy shop and Ebay shop. If you would like these items in any other fabrics or patterns, then please let me know. Everything is made to order.
That’s it for now. Many thanks for reading Lizzyshomemade and I hope you have a joyful June. x
