A Handmade Christmas

It’s nearly Christmas and I’ve been busy with lots of Christmas orders through my Etsy shop. I only really make a few Christmas items, most of which are dictated by the fabric that I source. Most of my products are retro inspired, especially as I love the 1950’s.

I specialise in making retro vintage style aprons and have never made a Christmas apron before, but I just love this Michael Miller fabric featuring Christmas housewives on a red festive background.

I sourced this vintage Cath Kidston fabric online. I absolutely love it! There are 2 Christmas hanging hearts to choose from. The first features Christmas baubles and the second one is all about the reindeer! These hearts are both machine sewn and handsewn. They look absolutely great and will definitely feature on my retro inspired Christmas tree!

If you love a retro Christmas then you won’t be disappointed by this so cute pink hanging decoration featuring VW camper vans set in a festive scene. If gingham is your style, then we have a scandi inspired red gingham heart finished off with a matching red button.

I try and do my bit for the environment. All my packaging is recycled and I use sustainable card and am an avid hoarder of bubble wrap for use in packaging. These Christmas bags/Santa sacks can be used year after year. They come in various sizes and various fabrics. I particularly love the Liberty of London Christmas fabric. Very festive!

Now onto bunting! I must say that I adore bunting and making bunting. My house is decked out with bunting all year round. Not to mention the garden! With the fairy lights twinkling and the bunting gently flapping, the garden certainly looks like an extension of my house! This year I have made some scandi inspired bunting. This features red gingham fabric and red hearts and snowflakes on a cream background. For a more understated look, this scandi bunting certainly fits the bill. If however, you would like a more traditional festive look then we have beautiful angels plus I also have a fun retro Santa Claus print.
