Autumn Sewing Projects: Bunting and More

Well it’s now October and although we are officially into Autumn, it still feels like an Indian Summer here in the UK. I have to say that I have had a bit of a rest from sewing over the summer. We were lucky enough to go to beautiful Scotland for a fortnight and i’ve been catching up with garden jobs and harvesting lots of tomatoes due to the hot summer sunshine. However it’s usually coming up to my busy time of the year so I need to start thinking about sewing again!

I love making bunting and these are a lovely addition to my collection. The first bunting features a fun pink and purple tape measure fabric and the second fabric features a gardening theme. All my bunting is made to order and is neatly sewn with matching bias binding.

These A4 document wallets are great for storing all your essential info plus are ideal for storing sewing and knitting patterns too. I recently added the knitting pattern fabric to my collection. It’s a lovely print and fits in well with lots of vintage and fifties style products.

Newly made is my Cath Kidston memoboard. I have lots of her original fabric featuring all sorts of spotty fabric, ranging from the blue pictured here, to pale pink, yellow, green and even a multi colour spot on a white background. All my memoboards are quilted and come with matching buttons and ribbons.

One recent customer asked me to source this celebratory toile print from Cath Kidston. I think it looks lovely. I have very limited stock though!

I enjoy making these little cosmetic bags. This one features an iconic Cath Kidston cowboy print. All my bags are fully lined, quilted and come with matching zips.

What I’ve been up to.

Reading
: I
have just starting The Stray Dogs by Ruth Hogan. I have read all of her books. They really appeal to me as they are a bit quirky but lovely to read.

Watching:  The Great British Bake Off with new host Nigella Lawson. I am a big fan of Nigella and use her cookbooks most days.

Doing: Getting the garden ready for Autumn and harvesting lots of lovely fresh produce.

I hope that you have found some lovely things to read, watch, make or do. I would love to know what you have been up to.
